JSC Almaty Electric Power Plants held annual meeting of the management and labor collective on corporate social responsibility

   On February 15-19, 2016 in the framework of annual reporting meetings of the Samruk-Energo group of companies to the work collective about the results of work for 2015 and tasks for the forthcoming period in the field of corporate social responsibility, JSC "AlES" held meetings in labor collectives of the Company.

Nurlan Muhamed-Rakhimov, Chairman of the Board, made a report. He noted the main directions and results of the Company's activity for the year 2015, the main priorities of the Company in the sphere of corporate social responsibility. It was noted that the Company fulfilled annual plan for electric power generation (5,086 million kWh) and thermal energy (5,031,000 Gcal) was generated. It was stressed that measures to improve social well-being are aimed at supporting all categories of workers, and first of all the production personnel, which is 94% of the total number of employees of the Company.

To determine the assessment of social well-being of the work collective in the third quarter of 2015, the Social Partnership Center and Corporate University of Samruk-Kazyna JSC conducted a study to determine social stability rating of JSC Almaty Electric Power Plants. As a result of the study, positive dynamics were revealed: staff involvement from 67% in 2014 to 76% in 2015, staff satisfaction from 77% in 2014 to 82% in 2015. Loyalty of staff was raised from 69% in 2014 to 78% in 2015.

The report covers production indicators, labor protection issues, personnel training, personnel development, social policy, motivation, the activities of the Company's Ombudsman, information openness policy, etc.

Chairman of the Board N. Mukhamed-Rakhimov told the team about the main events of the Company: certification of energy management system for compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and OHSAS 18001; obtaining a passport of readiness of energy production departments to work in the autumn-winter conditions of 2015-2016; the participation of the team of the Company in the 3rd sport events among JSC "Samruk-Energo" group of companies and important achievement of JSC "AlES" - the victory in the contest "Paryz 2015" in the nomination "The Best Collective Agreement". During the meeting, the workers asked questions and detailed answers were provided.
