Open dialogues in the Women's Club of AlES JSC

Within the framework of the international action "16 Days of Active Actions against Gender Violence" on November 30, 2023, a meeting of the Women's Club of AlES JSC. Thirty-eight employees from across the company participated in the event.

The meeting presents data of world and Kazakhstan statistics on domestic violence. An important part of the presentation was information about the assistance of crisis centers to victims of violence, as well as the work of the hotline.

Employees of the A.Zhakutov CHPP-2 prepared a presentation on gender equality.

Gulmira Aldashukurova, head of the chemical shop of A.Zhakutov CHPP-2, told about the history of the origin of the term "gender equality" and its difference from feminism, about outstanding women of our country. It should be noted that Gulmira underwent training on the project "Gender Equality" under the Samruk Business Academy program, which was developed within the framework of the instruction of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to gradually increase the share of women in the management bodies of companies with state participation.

Male station employees who work in the women's environment are invited to the club meeting.

– I manage to work successfully in a female team, as I believe that everything should be built on respect. This is due to my relationship with my mom and sisters. In the light of recent events, I am against violence, I believe that it is a manifestation of weakness of men who cannot win either trust or respect, – shared his opinion Alibek Abulkin, accountant of A.Zhakutov CHP-2.

Elena Kim, head of the laboratory of the Adjustment and Environmental Protection Shop, prepared a quiz on the topic "What a Woman Created". Club members learned many amazing facts from this quiz and received creative prizes.

Marina Avramenko, Head of Housekeeping at CHPP-3, believes that it is necessary to develop the practice of inviting men to the meetings of the Women's Club: "I believe it is necessary to continue this topical theme. You could bring in a psychologist, bring up the problem of women executives. I really enjoyed the format of the meeting".

Olga Taurbayeva, an apparatus operator of the air separation unit at the turbine shop of CHPP-3, took part in the Women's Club for the first time. After the meeting, she shared her impressions with colleagues on her shift, which sparked the interest of everyone present. In Olga's opinion, the relevance of the topic requires discussion and holding similar events.

Ainur Zhumataeva, a leading accountant of WTC, believes that it is necessary to think about the upbringing of our children, because the foundation of healthy relationships lies in the family.

– A family is a small model of a country. And as we plant a seed in our family, so the whole country will develop. At the club meeting, we raised the topic of violence against women and children, which manifests itself in physical, sexual and psychological forms. I thank the management of our company for not bypassing such sensitive issues, said Ainur Zhumataeva.

The Women's Club becomes a platform where topical issues of both the company and society at large are raised. Its friendly atmosphere helps bring attention to issues that require action by each of us.
