Educational experience for schoolchildren

April 21, 2023 at Kapshagayskaya HPP named after Sh.Chokin conducted an excursion for 5th grade students of secondary school No.5 named after A.Zhubanov.

– As part of the educational plan, a class hour dedicated to the monuments and historical places of our city was held on April 18. For a detailed study and delving into the history of the city of Konaev, an excursion to the city-forming enterprise was organized. As a homeroom teacher, I wanted to show the children where the history of our city began. Thanks to the support and permission of the ALES management, we were able to visit the Kapshagai HPP. The children also paid tribute to the memory of the first builders of the station and laid flowers on the memorial on the territory of the hydroelectric power station, – shared Makpal Aitbek, the class teacher of the 5th "D" class.

The station was visited by 18 students. Before starting the tour, the children were told how to observe safety precautions at the station. The schoolchildren were accompanied by Botagoz Salmakeeva, Chief Specialist in Technical operation and Industrial safety, and Kanat Cheryazdanov, master in operation and repair of hydraulic structures.

– We told the children about the history of the station, the structure of hydroelectric power plants, showed the buildings, hydraulic structures and the water area of the station. It was obvious that the guys were interested, they asked a lot of questions. I think the children were satisfied and received a lot of informative information, Kanat Cheryazdanov continued.

Sevara Rakhimzhanova saw the work of the hydroelectric power station for the first time.

– They explained to us how aggregators work, how energy appears, where water flows from. There are many workshops at the station, but we went into only one of the safest ones. There was a crane that lifted loads for the aggregator. The hydroelectric power station has a brain, there is even a button to turn off the entire station. You ask: "Why is she? After all, the station cannot be turned off even for a second, it works 24/7". This button is needed in case of an accident. It has never been used in all these years! And we also got acquainted with the honor board, where we were told about the first builders and veterans of the station. We laid flowers at the memorial, which is located on the territory of the station, – Sevara, a student of the 5th "D" class, shared her impressions.

The excursion at the station has become an exciting and informative experience for schoolchildren.
