New approaches to ensuring the safety of personnel

On February 22, 2022, JSC "AlES" held a working meeting on occupational health and safety

A wide range of issues related to ensuring safe production, improving safety culture, and introducing new approaches to the prevention and prevention of occupational injuries were considered at the meeting. The event was attended by the Director of the Labor Protection Department of JSC "Samruk-Energo", the management of JSC "AlES", heads of production departments of JSC "AlES" and contractors. The timeliness of holding a meeting with the participation of the heads of contracting organizations on the eve of the upcoming repair campaign was noted.

The presentation of Tulegen Maksilov, Director of the Labor Protection Department of JSC "Samruk-Energo", which reflects new approaches to ensuring the safety of personnel in the workplace and measures for implementation, was heard with interest.

– This is first of all: the installation of video cameras in the risk oriented places of work of contractors with subsequent analysis of the identified violations, conducting briefings with mandatory video recording of the process, the introduction of the practice of joint rounds of workplaces by the Chairman of the Board of JSC "AlES" and the heads of contracting organizations, – said Tulegen Maksilov. – An important point in ensuring workplace safety is the right of employees to stop work in case of danger to their life or health, which is guaranteed by the personal support of the Chairman of the Board of JSC "Samruk-Energo" S.A.Tyutebayev in his Appeal.

At the meeting, it was emphasized that improving the safety culture affects everyone and all employees, regardless of their position, should take all possible part in ensuring it. The education of a conscious attitude to the fulfillment of the requirements of labor protection and safety on the part of each employee without fear of the use of punitive measures should be the main result of this work.

As a result of the discussion, the meeting participants made decisions on the implementation of measures to improve the culture of production and control safety in the workplace.
