Together towards a common goal

On the site of JSC "AlES" in mid – July 2022, a field meeting organized by JSC "Samruk-Energo" on occupational safety and health issues for the first half of this year was held. The event was held in accordance with the Action Plan for the Management of Occupational Safety and Environmental Protection issues in the group of companies of JSC "Samruk-Energo" for 2022.

The meeting was attended by the heads of labor protection and environmental protection of LLP "EGRES-1 named after B.Nurzhanov", JSC "SEGRES-2", JSC "Moynakskaya HPP named after U.D. Kantaev", JSC "Shardarinskaya HPP", LLP "PVES", LLP "Samruk-Green Energy", JSC "AZHK", "Bogatyr Komir" LLP, "AlES" JSC and representatives of the Labor Protection Department of "Samruk-Energo" JSC.

Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "AlES" Yerlan Kirkinbayev addressed the participants of the meeting with a welcoming speech and emphasized:

– The year 2022 has been declared the "Year of Occupational Safety and Health" in the companies of the "Samruk-Energo" JSC group. In 2021 and for the current 2022, there were no accidents related to work in JSC "AlES". In general, occupational safety and health issues have always been and are a priority and the most important goal of the Company is to achieve zero injuries at work. I wish you success in achieving the noble goal of improving the culture of safety and labor protection, ensuring safe and favorable working conditions for every employee at all workplaces.

Tulegen Maksilov, Director of the Labor Protection Department of "Samruk-Energo" JSC, made a report on the results of work in the field of occupational safety and health and occupational injuries for the first half of 2022 in all subsidiaries of "Samruk-Energo" JSC and work plans for the second half of the year.

After a joint discussion of the voiced issues, specific decisions were made in the field of occupational safety and industrial safety and prevention of occupational injuries in the group of companies of JSC "Samruk-Energo".

With great interest, the participants of the meeting took part in an information session on the topic: "A modern approach to assessing the occupational safety management system and building a sustainable safety culture".

– We spent two busy working days according to the agenda of the meeting. In particular, JSC "AlES" organized familiarization trips with visits to the production departments: A.Zhakutov CHPP-2 and the Cascade of hydroelectric power plants. We were able to see the work of the safety and labor protection services on the spot.
