B.Orazbayev CHPP-1: repair company in full swing

This year Almaty CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev turns 87 years old. On October 25, 1935, the first unit was put under industrial load. In 1936, 1.8 million kWh of electricity was generated. To date, this power generation is equal to the daily operation of the station.

In order for the station to be able to carry the necessary load in winter to provide Almaty with heat and electricity, all the main and auxiliary equipment must be ready by the beginning of the heating season. In April of this year, a repair campaign began at the B.Orazbayev CHP-1.

– To date, scheduled repairs of three power boilers out of six installed have been carried out, one is under repair, and two boilers are awaiting repair work in accordance with schedules, – said Alibek Tastanbekov, Managing Director of B.Orazbayev CHP-1. – Of the seven installed hot water boilers, six have been repaired, the last one is under repair. One turbine unit has been repaired, the second is undergoing repairs, and the third turbine unit is awaiting repair according to the schedule.

All repair work on the main and auxiliary equipment of the CHP-1 is carried out by the personnel of the PRE "Energoremont" JSC "AlES".

To date, the station has generated 236,902.95 thousand kWh of electric energy and 734,557 Gcal of thermal energy according to the plan.

From 1935 to the present day, B.Orazbayev's CHP-1im has generated 38.707 billion kWh of electric energy, 155.979 million Gcal of thermal energy.

Interesting facts: The maximum generation of electric and thermal load was carried out in 1986, electricity in the amount of 857,500 thousand kWh, thermal energy in the amount of 4,149,800 Gcal.
