AT 15 YEARS OF OWN I SIT ON A CRANE AND WORK WITH GREAT PLEASURE...

As a child, I wanted to become a seamstress like my grandmother, at that time it was the most fashionable profession. But after the 9th grade, I went to study as a crane operator. My mother worked on the screen all her life. Sometimes I went to work with her, I was delighted with my mother's work, how she deftly and quickly controlled the crane.

I studied for three years, our teachers were professionals in their field. For a good study, she received a scholarship, was the head of the group. After the first course, we were sent to practice, trained for a week. The head of the workshop asked for the best trainee, I was recommended to him, there were not enough crane operators. So at the age of 15 I sat on the crane on my own, worked for a month with great pleasure ...

At that time, those were my happiest days. The first impressions of working on the crane remained for life. Therefore, I can confidently say that I love my job.

After graduating well from school, I was sent to a construction technical school, but since the times of perestroika came, I could not go further to study, I stayed at home to help my parents. There was little work in Kapshagai, I worked in different places, but not in my specialty ...

Konstantin Vlasenko helped me get a job at the Kapshagai HPP in 2003, at that time he worked as a shift supervisor at the control panel. From the first minute I fell in love with the HPP. The territory of the station is admirable, the people are kind, and what first-class specialists, people were valued here first of all... At first, I got a job as a cleaner, in 2005 I moved to the maintenance shop for buildings and hydraulic structures as a lineman.

In 2016, a crane operator was needed in the electric machine shop, the head of the shop Sergey Danilenko offered me to transfer to this position. So, at the station, before becoming a crane operator, I worked as a cleaner and a lineman, and I had a warehouse, I was financially responsible, I went a long way to my favorite profession. I am very grateful to all the people who helped me and supported me ...

Some say that it is easy to work on a crane, they say, they sat down and pulled the levers. But this is far from the case, each profession has its own nuances. I have this attentiveness, quick and dexterous work of hands, reaction, responsibility, composure ... When there are almost 500 tons under you and you can’t do without tension ... Removing a rotor, for example, requires colossal composure, attentiveness, reaction ... This work with two cranes, synchronism with the second crane operator is also important here ...

It is this work – the repair of the unit that brings me great pleasure ... For 5 years of work, I can already easily disassemble and assemble the unit with my favorite cranes... Our work is well-coordinated and smooth, the connection between the slinger and the crane operator is 100% established.  

There are four gantry cranes and two overhead cranes with a lifting capacity of 250 tons on the territory of the HPP, so two cranes are involved in the excavation of the rotor... I can’t single out a pet crane, I work for everyone with pleasure ...

I do not feel any particular danger in the performance of my professional duties, if all the requirements of the instructions and safety precautions are followed, then operating even the largest and heaviest crane is no more dangerous than operating any other mechanism. In my profession, what I like most is the height and the joy of the result of the work done.  

My working day goes according to schedule... If the repair of the unit is planned, then in the morning I receive an order from the foreman, or I work in the oil industry, this is my combination of work ... The duties of the regenerator include cleaning the oil from impurities and drying it from moisture, as well as supplying oil to the unit's systems... The amount of oil in one unit is 50 m³ during the operation of the turbine, the mechanical oil is contaminated, therefore, during the repair, the oil is drained into the oil tank of the economy, then my task is to purify it from impurities and moisture through the oil purification plant, then pour it clean, fresh into the system, for a successful unit operation... 

I work with two types of oil – turbine and transformer, the work is very noisy and harmful, but I love it, I'm interested in it. My motto in life: "Go forward and don't look back!"
