SAFETY DAY

On February 15, 2022, a monthly Safety Day (hereinafter referred to as HSE Day) was held in all production departments of AlES JSC. TB Day is primarily aimed at preventing industrial injuries, contributes to the prompt elimination of existing safety violations, fire safety and industrial sanitation, and the identification of shortcomings in the organization of safe production. Regular monthly TB Days remain an effective preventive measure to improve the level of occupational safety in the workplace.

– Representatives of the production departments of the head office of AlES JSC took an active part in the organization of the TB Day. According to the approved schedule, the departure of employees of the Industrial Safety and Labor Protection Department, the Repair Department, the Operations Department, the Environmental Protection Department and the Capital Construction Department to the departments of CHPP-1 and CHPP-2 was organized to participate in TB Day, – said Karim Sartaev, Head of the Department industrial safety and labor protection of AlES JSC. 

As part of the commissions, representatives of the head office carried out inspections of compliance with safety regulations at the workplace, compliance with the requirements for the operation of equipment, the safe organization of repair work, the state of fire safety and industrial sanitation in the shops and on the territory. Particular attention was paid to the fulfillment by contractors of safety requirements to ensure the safe performance of work on the territory of enterprises.

– Based on the results of the inspections, acts were drawn up with identified violations and comments. In total, on TB Day, 49 violations were detected at CHPP-1 and 62 violations at CHPP-2. Members of the commissions checked the timely execution of the measures previously issued on TB Days, – continued Azamat Chakarov, Chief Specialist of the Industrial Safety and Labor Protection Department of AlES JSC. 

All violations and comments were considered at the meetings held at CHPP-1 and CHPP-2 following the results of TB Day with the participation of department heads and were included in orders for TB Day with measures to eliminate them. Letters were sent to contracting organizations indicating six violations identified and taking the necessary measures to eliminate them.
