WITH THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE ALMATY CHPP-1!

Almaty CHPP-1 is the first-born in the big energy sector of Kazakhstan! Here, 85 years ago, on October 25, 1935, the first turbine unit with a capacity of 3 thousand kW (significant at that time) was put under industrial load in a solemn atmosphere. From this day, the Almaty heat and Power Plant began its work. The station was built by the method of folk construction, its expansion provided an improvement in the electrical supply of the growing housing stock, industrial consumers of Almaty. Since 2017, the station has been switched to gas. Almaty CHPP-1 throughout its work has been a forge of personnel for the energy sector of Kazakhstan. The staff of JSC "Almaty Electric Power Stations" sincerely congratulates all employees, veterans of the station on the anniversary! Our best wishes to all those who have contributed their knowledge and experience to the development of the plant, and to all those who today work diligently and continue the glorious traditions of the CHPP-1 team.
