ALES: RESULTS OF THE CONTEST " THE BEST ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE ENTERPRISE»

At the beginning of June 2020, the results of the contest "The Best Environmentally Responsible Enterprise" were summed up in JSC "Almaty Electric Power Stations".
The competition allowed us to identify projects aimed at forming the environmental culture of the company's employees, collect proposals for organizing separate waste collection, and raise the issue of methods for controlling atmospheric pollution.

Each department, in the form of a presentation, outlined the history of the appearance of its department and its activities, the implementation of the environmental management system and the environmental protection system, the principles of environmental awareness of employees of JSC "AlES" and contractors operating in the territory of production departments.
In the conditions of the introduced quarantine, presentation materials were accepted in electronic form and considered by a specially created commission in a remote mode. When making the decision, the commission took into account the work of departments that make every effort to ensure a favorable environmental situation and take all necessary actions to ensure environmental protection and preserve natural resources.
Special attention in the production departments is paid to the control of violations in the field of environmental protection. Work has been carried out to modernize and improve the efficiency of treatment facilities, separate collection of paper, glass and plastic has been established, waste paper collection days are held on a regular basis, and environmental actions have been carried out both in the departments themselves and in the adjacent territory.

By the decision of the commission, the work of the departments was recognized as meeting the requirements of the regulatory authorities in the field of environmental protection. For their part, each department is ready to improve the environmental protection system. At the end of the quarantine, all ecologists of the departments who took part in this environmental competition will receive Certificates of Honor.
