FROM IDEA TO POTENTIAL PROJECT

In January 2020, as part of the Transformation Program of Samruk - Energy JSC, an information day was initiated with the participation of representatives of almost the entire group of companies. Chairman of the Management Board of the Company Bakitzhan Zhulamanov was given a new course to improve the efficiency of the SDCs, through the formation of a Portfolio of transformation projects, using the suggestions and ideas of employees.

 

This approach to the formation and updating of the Portfolio of Projects of the Transformation Program in Samruk-Energo JSC will allow us to make an objective analysis of all areas of the holding that need changes. The Transformation Office and the Digitalization Office are currently considering the proposals sent by the SDCs as a result of the local information days held in the subsidiaries. The employees of the SDCs were given information about the opportunities to improve the business within the framework of the Transformation Program. As a result, more than 40 offers were received. Absolutely any employee has the right to submit an application and make a contribution to the development of their company. The offers are varied in their content. Azamat Mazhyn, head of the Digitalization Office, says that among them there were also very funny ones, such as not going to work on a shift on your birthday. Or interesting, from a social point of view, as holding events for employees who have found their halves in the company and have created a family. And there are quite a few of them in the long history of SDCs. But the bulk of the applications, says Azamat, contained production topics, as well as proposals for automation or digitalization of processes. Among them, the automation of document management, the introduction of a digital archive, automated systems for equipment, virtual reality for training, etc. This indicates the employees ' interest in keeping their subsidiaries and affiliates up to date.

"All the received ideas are distributed in a number of initiatives. After conducting a preliminary analysis of their relevance and importance, the list of 42 proposals has been reduced to 25. They may be reborn into events or projects and will be included in a new Portfolio," Azamat Mazhyn notes.
At the moment, the Transformation Office and the Digitalization Office are working on further detailed analysis of the proposals.
