THE WORLD- IN THE EYES OF CHILDREN

In June 2019, the trade union committee of the Kapshagay hydropower station held a contest of children's drawings on the theme “Take care of nature” as part of events dedicated to the Day of the Ecologist. The competition was attended by children of station workers from 5 to 16 years. Through their drawings, the children conveyed their respect for nature and the world as a whole.

The competition submitted 16 works. The jury had a very hard and difficult task to determine the winner, as each children's drawing is unique in its own way. The Grand Prix was awarded to the work of Margarita Lankina (16 years old), made in oil.

- People have become so callous and somewhat heartless to the surrounding nature that even animals and birds want to tell us that it’s time to think again and start treating all living things on our planet with care before it’s too late ...- told her opinionMargarita, the young artist.

- My children participated first in the competition. I think that environmental education should start in the family. We are parents, first of all we should be an example for our children. I am glad that such contests are held here. The children were very pleased,-Aliya Zhilgildina, an ecologist at the Kapshagai hydroelectric station, shared her opinion.

All participants were awarded prizes.
