EXCURSION TO CASCADE HPP

On May 16, 2019, as part of advanced training courses with AUEC, an excursion took place to Cascade HPP. The excursion came out quite rich. 12 trainees, including employees of JSC "SNPS-Aktobemunaygas", JSC "Atyrau TPP", JSC "ZJGOK" and JSC "AlES" familiarized themselves with the peculiarities of the operation of hydropower plants and the work of instrumentation and automation.

Particularly impressed by the pressure tunnel of HPP-1-2 and other hydraulic structures. We looked into the work of new instruments for measuring the parameters of HPPs from Siemens. The guests visited the centre of HPP-7 - in the engine room and were able to see the work of the main units of the hydroelectric station. The excursion participants were also presented with the Cascade HPP control center, where the work of the main and auxiliary equipment is controlled. Over the years, Cascade HPP generated more than 190 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, which is equivalent to the energy produced by the CHP plant when burning 10 thousand coal trains.

Trips to Cascade HPPs are unique, because this enterprise is in operation. They experienced unforgettable emotions. After all, this is the place where ENERGY IS BORN!
