ALES - Western thermal complex

The beginning of the WTC was laid on November 26, 1963. Then two hot-water boilers were installed and put into operation, in 1964-67 another hot-water boiler and five steam boilers were put into operation. The boiler house was located in the departmental affiliation of the AHBC and supplied heat and steam to the AHBC proper and the western districts of the city of Alma-Ata.

In 1972, the boiler house was transferred to the Alma-Ata Enterprise of Thermal Networks (APTS) and it was named the Western District Boiler House (WDBH). After that, in 1973, another hot water boiler was installed. Along with the growth of the city, its need for heat grew. To meet this need, in 1975-78, another boiler shop was built, in which four hot water boilers were installed. This workshop was given the name South-Western district boiler House (SWDBH).
In 1978-80, the heating mains of CHPP-2-ZRK Dy = 800mm and 1000mm were laid and the Central Heating Distribution Point (Central Heat Distribution Point) was put into operation, to which seven heating mains are currently connected, supplying the city with heat and hot water. The central heating station passes through 2/3 of the water circulating in the city heating networks and, in fact, is the" thermal heart " of Almaty.

In the early 80s, active construction of the western districts of the city began, along with this, the City Executive Committee decided to build another boiler shop. In 1986, the first stage was built, and in 1988 – the second stage of the New-Western district Boiler House (NWDBH), which also became part of the APTS.
In 1998, a structural division of the ZTC was formed as part of the department of the agro - industrial complex of the RKT, and in September 2000-an independent department of the agro-industrial complex of the ZTC.

After the reform of JSC AIC, the Western Thermal Complex began operating on February 15, 2007. as a part of JSC "Almaty electric stations".
